With the snow melting and the grass rings calling, show season is officially on the horizon — and there are some seriously fun, unique, and downright unforgettable classes you do not want to miss at Amberlea Meadows and beyond this spring!
Whether you’re a competitor, coach, or just love a good evening of equestrian entertainment, these are our top picks to circle on your calendar:
🌟 Amberlea Meadows Spring Welcome: The Metal Series!
Back by popular demand (seriously — so many people asked us about this at Harvest!), our Metal Series is making a big splash again this season. Designed for both hunters and jumpers, it’s an exciting chance to earn points all year long, culminating in the final showdown at the Harvest Horse Show with gorgeous blankets and generous gift card prizes up for grabs.
Even better? We’re giving away gift cards to both the rider and their coach — and at Harvest, those double in value!
So if you needed motivation to enter, this is your sign.

🐴 Blue Sky Classic: Hunt Team Relay Class
Dream class alert. If you’ve ever wanted to compete as a team in the ring — this one’s for you. Inspired by the legendary Devon Hunt Teams, this class brings a whole new level of energy to the show.
Here’s how it works: you, your coach, and a friend ride one after the other in a line over a hunter course… and then, jump the final fence TOGETHER. (Yes, like a synchronized squad of equestrian superheroes.)
Set at a friendly 2’6” height, this class is ideal for a fun and safe challenge — and the evening timeslot makes it a showstopping event to watch, too.
🎀 Neck ribbons for the winning trio + epic prizes from 1st to 3rd
🎭 Formal attire or fun costumes encouraged (bonus points for creativity!)
🐎 Come up with a clever team name — it’s all part of the fun.
⛳ Edmonton Classic: Putt & Ride Class
Golf… meets jumpers? Count us in. The Putt & Ride Class is one of the most exciting and original classes you’ll see all season — and a total crowd-pleaser.
Here’s the format:
One team. One golfer. One rider.
The golfer has two minutes to putt 10 balls toward three holes — earning points depending on which one they land in (the further the hole, the bigger the reward). Then, it’s GO time — the rider enters the grand prix grass ring and completes their round.
Total time + putting points = your final score. Fastest team wins!
This class is always a riot to watch, full of energy, laughs, and competitive spirit. Trust us — don’t miss it.
